Dr Stephan Singer is Chief Advisor for Global Energy Policy with the international secretariat for Climate Action Network (CAN), representing about 1300 Civil Society Organisations (CSO) active at local, national and international levels globally. It is the largest CSO network on a topic of global relevance and comprises environmental, developmental, climate justice, scientific & academic, social and faith-based groups. CAN members work on all issues regarding climate change. Dr. Singer supports efforts of different actors to stay within the boundaries of the 1.5 C objectives by the Paris Agreement on Climate Change. Furthermore, initiatives to move to 100% renewable energy worldwide by mid-century.

Plenary Session – Stakeholder Dialogue on Climate

Oval Room

The Science-Stakeholder Dialogue will stimulate exchange of scientific knowledge and the stakeholders’ perspective on climate. The dialogue will be introduced by a Science Keynote by Werner Kurz, reporting back from the scientific sessions followed by a discussion with five panelists from policy, industry and CSOs.
