Together we managed to distill the knowledge and expertise of renown and early-career scientists, to synthesize these into clear key messages and discuss them with experts from policy, the private sector and civil society in the science-stakeholder dialogues.
With the introduction of the term “Cool Forests” and through the vivid scientific discussions and stakeholder dialogues, the conference has successfully contributed to a sweeping exchange of experience and scientific knowledge between boreal and mountain forests.
The results of this process will inform a Cool Forests policy brief we have already started to work on. It is planned to publish the Cool Forests policy brief by the end of 2018 and distribute it widely.
Stay tuned for the upcoming conference outcomes!
